ATTENTION MEMBERS
Race events on the Gold Coast hosted by Goldstars, CATS and Murwillumbah Clubs are run under sanction from Cycling Australia (CA) and its State counterpart and, as such, enjoy the Insurance coverage afforded by CA by virtue of the licensing fees we all pay. Cover includes both personal accident and Public Indemnity for all participants and officials. This insurance also covers members during legitimate training activities either organised by the Club or individually if the member maintains a training diary.
Organised racing or participation events not sanctioned by CA or its State counterpart are excluded from this insurance cover, and, therefore, all insurance cover afforded by membership of this Club may be null and void. Members undertake these activities at their own risk and should satisfy themselves as to the insurances held by the organiser of such events.
Neither the Goldstars Cycling Club, nor any other CA affiliated cycling club, is involved in, or responsible for, the organised event held at Luke Harrop Circuit at Runaway Bay on a Saturday morning. Our information is that, while the organiser holds Public Indemnity insurance for their own benefit, any member who participates rides at their own risk.
